Alright, so who’s this guy so completely fired up about helping everyone unleash their inner awesome and live their biggest, brightest “I’M POSSIBLE” lives? That’s me, Eddie Cortés! As a top-rated youth motivational resilience speaker with over 20 wild, wonderful, and game-changing years of experience, I’ve been on an incredible mission: to empower students across this amazing country with rock-solid resilience, unshakeable confidence, and a deep-down sense of self-worth. My goal is to help them feel like they can launch their own rocket to their epic dreams, no matter what!

My Journey: From Crushed Dreams to Championing Student Resilience

This whole “I’M POSSIBLE” journey? It’s not some theory I cooked up from a dusty old self-help book. Nope. This is 100% from the heart, forged in the fiery crucible of my own story.

Picture this: little Eddie, a bright-eyed middle schooler, and my entire world revolved around one EPIC dream – playing Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees. It wasn’t just a childhood dream; the pinstripes were LIFE!

Then came that day. My cousin, with brutal honesty, told me I wasn’t big enough, fast enough, or talented enough. WHAM. Those words hit hard, fueling the doubts already seeded by a tough childhood, including my father’s abandonment which had left me feeling “not enough.” My self-worth plummeted. I stopped believing in myself, stopped dreaming big, and stopped trying. It was a painful, downward spiral, and “I’M POSSIBLE” felt a million miles away.

Discovering a New Dream: The “I’M POSSIBLE” Mission as a Youth Speaker

But here’s the super cool truth I discovered: sometimes those rock bottom moments are actually life nudging you onto an even more amazing path! In defeat, we often discover new passions. For me, crawling out of that slump, I found a fire in my belly for helping students navigate their tough stuff. I discovered a knack for storytelling that connected, made them laugh, and most importantly, made them feel seen. A new dream sparked: to become a youth motivational speaker and share these hard-won lessons – not just to share, but to truly empower, inspire, and give hope.

So, I traded my baseball bat for a microphone. And now? I get to live this unbelievable dream, connecting with tens of thousands of incredible K-8 students across the U.S. every year as a school assembly speaker, helping them unleash their own spectacular “I’M POSSIBLE” power! How humbling is that?!
