Motivational Youth Speaker Eddie Cortés in Brooklyn, NY
I’m still trying to catch my breath after an electrifying tour stop in the greatest city in the world. Forget the coffee—the energy from these students is all the fuel I need!
The Challenge: Firing Up the “I Can, I Will!” Mindset
How do you take elementary students—who face daily challenges from schoolwork to self-doubt—and equip them with an unbreakable growth mindset? How do you get them to truly believe they can overcome challenges and transform setbacks into opportunities? This is the mission-critical challenge for every school, and it’s why a high-energy school assembly program has to deliver. We need students to walk out saying, “I can. I will!”
The Solution: An “I’m Possible” School Assembly Program
That’s where the I’m Possible Assembly Programs come in! My goal is to deliver a fun, electrifying experience that empowers students to embrace resilience.
This week, I had the incredible experience of running a three-school tour in one day, hitting P.S. 065, P.S. 938, and P.S. 108 in Brooklyn, New York! The energy was absolutely off the charts. Students, teachers, and leadership came out ready to celebrate, wearing their Yankees and Mets jerseys, shirts, and hats. It was a true New York celebration!
The students were fully engaged and so excited they were chanting my name throughout the assembly: “Eddie! Eddie! Eddie!” At the end, they even played the iconic “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra as we celebrated their commitment to the “I’m Possible” mindset.
The Impact: The Future Is in Their Hands
The true impact of a motivational youth speaker isn’t just felt in the moment; it’s felt in the dreams they share.
After the assemblies, I took photos with every class, signed autographs, and gave out hundreds of hugs and high-fives. As we connected, student after student shared their dreams with me—becoming a soccer player, a doctor, a lawyer, a police officer, a teacher, a scientist, and more.
These moments perfectly illustrate the “I’M POSSIBLE” impact:
- Develop Resilience: Students learned to bounce back from setbacks and turn obstacles into opportunities.
- Boost Confidence: They gained the belief in themselves to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Overcome Challenges: They developed the inner strength to turn adversity into opportunities for growth.
- Embrace a Growth Mindset: They walked away cultivating an “I can. I will!” mindset that fosters a love of learning and a desire to continuously improve.
Seeing their confidence and hearing their goals confirms that the message is landing. We are helping them unlock their potential and inspire dreams that will shape their future.
